Games I Want to Run
D&D 4E:
I’m still convinced that my Alduin Guard set-up will make an awesome D&D game. A wandering band of elite warriors fighting a desperate battle for civilization amidst a backdrop of civil war and family politics.

Houses of the Blooded:
This is another game in which the setting is supposed to be created collaboratively but in this case it has some strong flavor in the text. Also, rather than campaign creation at the beginning, the game gives the players a lot of power to introduce new setting elements during play. For that reason, a judicious use of Microscope to create some pre-game setting cohesion will be in order.
In addition, I think a slower build-up with the players starting as road-men (or knights) of a minor noble to create camaraderie and some tighter connections amongst the players. This also handily allows everyone to ease into learning the rules and avoid the land-management phase until later.

CORE Playest:
I’m currently sussing out a basic fantasy framework for the roleplaying game that’s been rattling around in my head for the better part of a year. A lot of it is a matter of tailoring the skill list for the genre and creating some powers so once I’ve done one iteration it should be relatively simpler to work something up for a modern or SF game.
